In 2019, a white American woman was arrested in Russia for trying to enter the country with 19 grams of THC, much more than WNBA star Brittney Griner had at the time of her detention.The story of Audrey Lorber has resurfaced amid Griner getting sentenced to nine years in a Russian prison for “smuggling” 0.7 grams of THC in a wax vape cartridge.Lorber was 19 years old when she was found guilty of smuggling 17 grams of THC into Russia while on a family vacation.
